Last night's Presidents Dinner was a great success. Members and guests were entertained by our Chairman Steve Hough, Comedian Lea Roberts and our Guest of Honour Dean Richards.

Dean told some fantastic stories (Buck Shelford!) spanning his entire career, and afterwards had time to meet and greet everyone on an individual basis. Lea had us belly laughing throughout the night and we were all well fed by AM t PM Catering. The feedback from those attending has been universally positive.

After the event Lea Roberts commented: "What a great night mate. Brilliant club. I’d love to come & see you all in the future for a few beers & a game." Dean Richards also sent the following message: "Thank you for last night. What a great club."

Our President, John Cockcroft, would like to thank our speakers, the hardworking bar staff, the caterers, the volunteers who helped put the evening together and finally everyone who attended.

Its night like this that remind us what rugby is all about. Friends for life are made and cemented at these events. The Presidents Dinner is is a landmark event in our diary, and it will be back next year. Long may it continue.
