It has been on heck of a weekend at Pontefract RUFC. On Friday the U15's had the honour of playing the first ever match under our new floodlights on the middle pitch. They rose to the occasion with a fine victory over Old Rishworthians.

The 1st XV were victorious against Morley in front of a bumper crowd at Moor Lane, and now now lie fifth in the league. This was a very special day indeed and will live long in the collective memory of the club. A full match report will follow. The 2nd XV put in a strong performance away at Morley, but ultimately fell to their first defeat of the year.

Today our minis hosted Castleford, on a morning which saw the opening of the new cabin for the very first time. This cabin was made possible by our crowd funding appeal and is now fully operational serving drinks and snacks to spectators. Its sure to be a tremendous asset and the club is thankful to those volunteers who have contributed to its creation.

At lunchtime our U17 Colts put in a strong performance to defeat North Ribblesdale.

Its been an outstanding weekend in the spirit of the game, and the club wishes to thank all those that helped to make it happen.
