The Pontefract forwards laid the platform with some powerful carries, none more so than Rueben Tetteh, who was deservedly named Man of the Match. Tetteh’s relentless work in the contact area, particularly his hard carries and dominant counter-rucking, disrupted Sandal's rhythm and gave Pontefract the edge at crucial moments.
