Pontefract RUFC start a new adventure this week as we hit the road to take on Champions of R2 East Midlands, Old Northamptonians RFC. ON's as they are known have had a remarkable season by any standards, losing only one game to their close neighbours Northampton Old Scouts RFC and winning the league at a canter.

Pontefract Coach Craig Fawcett is fully aware of the challenge ahead but is in confident mood. Pointing to our own 11 game winning streak, and with only 4 games standing between Pontefract and a Twickenham appearance, Craig says the team will be fully prepared and motivated.

On the field this weekend our 2ndXV had a fine win against Moortown Marauders, whilst our girls lost to our a very good West Park Leeds team, and our Colts had an uncharacteristic defeat to Old Otliensians.
