Following the recent announcements of Andy Fradgley as Head Coach and Jayden Field as 1st XV Captain, we are delighted to confirm our Senior Management Team for the 2026/27 season.
This new structure represents an exciting step forward for Pontefract RUFC, bringing together experience, expertise and leadership from across the club. More importantly, it strengthens the alignment between our Mini, Junior, Girls, Colts and Senior sections, creating a clear and sustainable pathway for players progressing through the club.
Our 2026/27 Senior Management Team:
? Andy Fradgley – Head Coach
? Rich Dedicoat – Attack Coach
? Tony O’Brien – Defence Coach & Junior Rugby Development Officer
? Nick Dykes – Team Manager
? Jayden Field – 1st XV Captain
? Tristan – 2nd XV Coach
? Sean Simpson – 2nd XV Captain
? Matty Hargreaves – 2nd XV Support
A key part of this structure is the focus on player development and succession planning. Tony O’Brien will continue his excellent work across the Mini, Junior, Girls and Colts sections, while Tristan’s continued involvement with both the Colts and 2nd XV further strengthens the pathway into senior rugby.
Together, this team will help ensure that the outstanding talent emerging from our youth section is supported every step of the way, from junior rugby through Colts, 2nd XV and ultimately into 1st XV rugby.
This structure is the result of significant work behind the scenes by Director of Rugby James Grant and Chair John Cockcroft, whose vision is to create a stronger, more connected and more professional rugby programme for the future.
As we enter a new era for Pontefract RUFC, we believe this structure provides the foundations for continued success on and off the field.
