Pontefract beat Selby and kept a clean sheet with an impressive team performance. Megan Storey set off with a 40-metre run to the line to be held up short but great support play and a brilliant off load from Megan to Aislinn O'Connor to score her first try of the season. The girls carried on dominating the play with some great offloads which created Charlotte Robinson some space to score her first try. Selby toughened up in defence to hold Pontefract to a 10-nil lead at Half time.
The second half started as the first half did with some great work from our forward pack for Charley Blackburn to go over for a cheeky try from only 1 metre out. Chloe Reynolds playing at fullback for the first time due to injuries came into the attacking line to score a try with a 30-metre dash to the line. The next try would come on the back of some great support play and offloading which opened the defence for Abby Cromack to score under the posts which she also converted. Charlotte Robinson scored a further 2 tries with her last coming with some fancy footwork out on the wing to score from the half way line. Holly Milthorpe and Mia Thompson converted the last 2 tries.
This was a great team performance from the girls with some great support play and offloading.
