Pontefract Move Up to Regional League North East 2 (Level 6)

A mouth watering prospect
- Phil Atkinson - Chairman

After last years outstanding campaign, finishing second in Yorkshire 1, Pontefract deservedly earned promotion. Our reward is to move into the regional league structure (Level 6) where we will compete against some familiar and new opposition.

Joining us in this league are Old Crossleyans who after a fine season were crowned Yorkshire 1 Champions and therefore also promoted on merit. Selby, and Bridlington, have also progressed to Level 6. We join some big names in this ultra competitive division. Pontefract will once again be welcoming the likes of Morley, Pocklington, Bradford & Bingley, Moortown and Malton & Norton to Moor Lane. We will also face new opposition in Dronfield. Its a mouth watering prospect, but as Craig Fawcett's men proved time and again last season they need not fear anyone.

The full fixture list is expected to be released in the coming weeks, in the meantime watch out for details of training sessions and friendlies ahead of the new season. New players of all abilities are always welcome.

Its going to be a great season of rugby and we look forward to seeing you all at Moor Lane.
